Award Travel 101 Group Rules

In order to keep our community safe, constructive and on point (pun intended) please adhere to these rules when submitting posts and making comments.

1 Be kind, be helpful

We were all novices at one point, so please take the time to help, and do stay polite. No one knows the exact perfect choice for everyone else. If you want to disagree with an idea, make a better suggestion or challenge the idea, but not the person.

2 Politics and hate speech prohibited

This has long been implied throughout the larger award travel community: politics and ANY form of hate speech are strictly banned. INFORMATIONAL conversation about travel-related policies is acceptable. Political discussions thereof is not permitted.

3 No self-promotion

Absolutely zero promotion of your own links/businesses/products/sites/group without prior approval. If you think your product adds value for the group, please message us. Spamming members via their direct messages will result in an immediate ban.

4 Referrals & solicitation thereof prohibited

Unless we start an official conga, no referral links or any solicitation for referral links will be permitted. There are other places on the internet for that; this isn't one of them.

5 No Post Backgrounds

Please resubmit your post without a post background. Post backgrounds make the text within the post unsearchable and inaccessible to screen readers.

6 No Direct Messages (DM)

Keep info within the group for all to learn from. Don't DM people and don't request to be DMed. Spamming members via their direct messages will result in an immediate ban.
